SOME OF THE BEST MUSIC FROM AN UNSIGNED ARTIST....

We all know how many great and talented singers there are out there today. Many of these talented people get pushed away and to never be heard or sadly treated as if their dreams of stardom will only be that, dreams. Think about it, how many of us are really able to win the X Factor, or Americas Got Talent, or even Americas Idol. ONE, ONE person of millions that try out for these shows, that would be three of millions when just considering these three very popular TV shows. Here is the story of one of these "starving artists", a man who has been through the challenges and has suffered  many times over in this life.
Fighting to be heard and everyday dreaming of just a chance, a chance that the right person will hear his music and take a chance on him. One chance given to this man would not be taken advantage of. Fame is not his goal, richies and world wide recognition aren't even his goal. The only thing that this man is seeking is to be heard. To share his music and love for music with the world is all he dreams of. Can you imagine going to bed dreaming about the same thing over and over? I know I can relate with that, my dream is to hit the powerball, lol, what about you? Many of us have dreams and after hearing this mans music and speaking with him one on one, I decided I wanted to write an article on him. 
For Soulja P, his dream every night is to know that his music is heard, that people can enjoy what he pours his heart into daily. Soulja P was born in Benin City in the province of Obalende, Lagos State, Africa. It was here from an early age that Soulja P began rapping and singing for friends and family. His grandparents were always told that he was a talented child, but that does not open opportunity for someone in Africa. Experiencing hard times daily and many challenges with being alone, Soulja P never gave up on his dream. From a young age Soulja P knew that music was all he wanted to do, he had a desire to sing, to rap, too be heard. Fighting to survive his youth, times were tough and just surviving the day was a blessing, as it still is. Surrounded by corruption and war, Soulja P was influenced by and with the love of his grandparents. His parents were never there for him, being busy with their own business and showed him little care for his survival.  After completing High School Soulja P decided to chase his dream and make music his official lifestyle. He wanted nothing else and choose to chase his dream no matter the cost.
With a friend by his side, Soulja P cut his first song. This was a small success, but there was no promise or light at the end of the tunnel after cutting one song. The industry is cold and hard, tough and painful, knowing this Soulja P didn't give up. With the encouragement of his grandparents Soulja P went on to continue his education, moving to Edo State to further his knowledge. At this point Soulja P began working underground making music, which is where he designed and created Thunder Boltz Records. While he continued focusing on his education, the night would bring him back to his heart, his music. He began writing and cutting his songs as often as possible. With big names from Africa such as P Square, success is not impossible in Africa, but to be success full, as it is anywhere, it would seem it takes knowing the right people.
Seems to me that there is so much room in the music industry, why does it have to be so hard to be heard, to just be given the chance to become successful. We all know there is more then enough money in the industry that it can't be the head people are afraid it will hurt their wallets. WE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO PAY FOR WHAT WE LIKE. Shouldn't we have more choices of what and who we spend our money on. It isn't about the thin, most beautiful, it is about the love of music and how we relate to it. That in the end is what truly matters. WE, US, THE PEOPLES CHOICE.
